Young man dies after skateboard fall

LISMORE police have launched an investigation into the death of a 20-year-old skateboarder who died after falling from his board while skating in Goonellabah last week.

The young man was riding his skateboard down Cynthia Wilson Drive, Goonellabah at about 9.15am on Thursday June 11, when he reportedly hit a small pothole. The skater flew off his board and struck the road.

He was transported to Gold Coast Hospital suffering head injuries but died on Saturday night.

Police have released the man's name or his address but have appealed to the public to help with their investigation.
