Work underway at Somerset Dam

SEQWATER has announced that geotechnical investigations at Somerset Dam will begin today as part of the dam improvement project.

The investigations will take four to six weeks and follow slow releases from the dams recently that have left Somerset at 80% and Wivenhoe at 90%.

The temporary supply levels will remain in place until dam improvement works at Somerset Dam are completed.

The water level of most of the region's major dams remains high, with the combined storage level at 86.4%.
