Women on Wheels to ride in city

THE next instalment of Women on Wheels hits the road on Sunday, March 6, with the second and final six week 'intro to cycling' course.

An Ipswich City Council spokesman said the course was great for novice road cyclists and people new to the sport.

"The diversity of wheel-based activities means there is something for everyone in the Women on Wheels programme," he said.

"Intro to cycling is a small group six week course specifically designed for the absolute beginner rider who would like to learn how to ride and gain fitness and enjoyment from exercise.

"The course is led by an experienced female bicycle rider passionate about helping others enjoy cycling and will also include the other staple of the road cycling lifestyle, a coffee and a chat.

"If you have got your own bike bring it along or get in touch with our partners at Cycle Away at cycleaway.com.au to discuss hiring a bike prior to the course.
