NATIONAL finalist for the Women in League Achievement Award Sandra Kenny would one day like to watch a game with the crowd.

"I would love to sit and watch a game of football; ... maybe I'll do that when I'm old (but) it may not be the boys playing," said Mrs Kenny, who has three sons.

Gayndah Junior Rugby League recognised its club secretary's "valuable service to the sport" in a nomination for the NRL One Community award.

Mrs Kenny had made "significant contributions (which) cannot be measured in time, money or even by football season", the nomination read. 

Her active involvement with rugby league, on-field and off, began when eldest son Ben joined the Under 7s team.

One of her many roles has been as First Aid Officer, an essential job she does not enjoy.

Mrs Kenny was not too concerned about injury to the junior players as "they're playing pretty much a level field and they're playing with kids they've played with all their life".

"It's a bit different for Ben playing A grade. He's only a kid, he's only 17, and he's playing mature 24, 25 year-olds and there's a lot of difference."

"People think if you do first aid you get to watch the game, but you don't get to watch the game - you're watching the players to make sure they get up," she explained.

NRL One Community is expected to post online a video on each Women in League finalist and additional voting information in September.
