Woman hurt in wallet robbery at Bellbird Park

POLICE are investigating the robbery of a woman in broad daylight at Bellbird Park.

The 29-year-old victim told police she was pushed to the ground by a man while waiting at a bus stop on Redbank Plains Rd about 9.30am Tuesday.

The man took the woman's wallet before running away.

Police said the woman sustained a neck injury and was taken to the Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

Detectives from the Ipswich CIB interviewed the woman on Wednesday.

The man was described as African, in his early 20s, and 180cm tall with a scar on the left-hand side of his face.

He was wearing a black singlet and black shorts.
