Woman doesn't remember crash

AN IPSWICH woman has been banned from driving for 15 months after pleading guilty to crashing her car while more than four times the alcohol limit.

A tearful Krashelle Jade Rutherford, 25, told Ipswich Magistrates Court she had no memory of running her Hyundai Excel into a power pole on Macgregor St, Woodend about midnight on March 9.

A subsequent test revealed Rutherford had been driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.226%.

She was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

Ipswich Magistrates Court heard she was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time, and nobody else was injured.

In addition to the lengthy disqualification, Rutherford was fined $850.
