Wivenhoe Dam water storage at 79%

WIVENHOE Dam is continuing to rise due to last week's heavy rainfall.

The water storage is at 79%, despite on-going gate releases of about 115 cubic metres per second, which are just slow enough to ensure Colleges Crossing and Savages Crossing remain open.

Somerset Dam is at 103.5% and falling slowly due to releases of around 100 cubic metres per second, via the dam's regulator valves.

Releases from both dams are expected to continue until the end of the week

Twin Bridges is the only road to have been closed as a result of the releases.
