Man uses shoe to smash windows of brother's garage

A MAN said his "anger got the better of him" when he used a shoe to break the windows of his brother's garage.

Jake Tosi pleaded guilty in Ipswich Magistrates Court this week to two counts of wilful damage.

Tosi committed the offence after a verbal argument with his brother turned physical.

The 28-year-old had been pushed out the front door of his brother's Deception Bay house on April 29.

Police prosecutor Megan O'Brien said Tosi picked up a shoe outside the front of the dwelling and used it to smash the garage windows.

Tosi told police he broke the windows because he was upset and needed to get back in the house to collect his belongings.

The unemployed Redbank Plains man also broke the rear window of his brother's car.

He said his anger had got the better of him and that he and his brother remained on bad terms. Tosi was fined $500.
