Wiggins rested and ready to start training for world champs

TOUR de France champion Bradley Wiggins is back on the bike after a knee injury ruined his Giro d'Italia campaign, but will not defend his title when the great race starts next weekend.

Team Sky coach Tim Kerrison said although Wiggins was still having treatment on his knee, he had resumed training in Majorca last week.

Kerrison said the Brit would target the time trial at the world championships in Florence in September.
