Face of the Cup comp heats up

AFTER entries flowed in from across Ipswich, the search for the face of the 2012 Ipswich Cup is down to five groups.

Their fate now lies in the hands of the people of Ipswich, who can vote for their favourite group.

QT marketing manager Amy O'Sullivan said she was excited the competition had been so well received.

"It's really exciting we're down to this stage," she said. "I can't wait to see who takes out the title.

"It's great to see people so excited to become the local faces of the races."

Voting forms will appear in every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday edition of the QT, beginning today, until December 23.

To vote, simply cut out the voting form, tick your favourite group to be the face of Queensland's biggest regional race meet, and drop the form into the QT's office in West Ipswich.

You can vote as many times as you like, but entries must be on an original form. The winners will appear in the marketing campaign for the Cup including ads, tickets and the billboard at the Ipswich Turf Club on Brisbane Rd.

The winner of the competition will be the group with the most votes once the competition ends at noon on Thursday, December 29.
