What's the hurry, asks judge

A WOMAN who has lost 28 demerit points in the past two years from speeding offences has been asked by an Ipswich Magistrate "what's the hurry?"

Jessica Louise Schmidt, 22, was caught driving while her licence was suspended by demerit points at Kalbar on October 1.

Schmidt told police she thought she was on a good behaviour licence for 12 months but she had actually been suspended for three months.

Ipswich Magistrates Court heard she was fined $100 and disqualified from driving for six months.
