Well-heeled service

THE Top of Town in Ipswich is home to another exciting business, Blue Heeler Boots.

Our feet are important and they get looked after by the professional team.

Blue Heeler Boots has quite a history and was established in Ipswich to meet growing demand from locals.

"It has been established for 20 years and I bought it as a going concern seven years ago," director Carol Iwanow said.

"There were so many people coming down from Ipswich and the surrounding area who would ask if there was a closer shop."

It the true Aussie spirit, Ms Iwanow decided to give it a go.

Now with 12 months under its belt, the business has been going quite well.

"I am going year to year on the store. I think people still don't know we have the store locally, so we are getting the word out," Ms Iwanow said.

In a competitive business, Ms Iwanow believes that they have a uniqueness that is about product knowledge and service that comes from experience.

"We get a lot of trade workers and those in industrial workplaces - this is a major part of our business. We do have dress shoes. These are not fashion shoes but go from casual to very dressy," she said.

"We also stock high-visibility shirts, pants and other accessories in the safety range. We get a lot of inquiries about clothing and if this continues to grow we will keep more stock."

Blue Heeler Boots is also online and the range can be seen at www.blueheelerboots.com.au.

The Ipswich store is at 252 Brisbane St, Ipswich, and is open from 8.30am to 4.45pm Monday to Thursday, until 4.30pm on Friday and from 9am to noon on Saturday. Phone 3812 7210.
