Warrego Hwy held up after crash

AN OFF-DUTY paramedic stopped to help after a car ran out of control and into an embankment on the Warrego Hwy.

Police said the car was travelling west-bound when it crossed on to the other side of the highway near Mountainview Dr at Minden about 11.30am today.

A police spokesman said the car crossed the east-bound lanes and ran into the embankment on the other side.

A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesman said the driver was taken to Ipswich Hospital but their injuries were not serious.

Traffic was disrupted for a short time while the crash scene was cleared and the car was taken away.

The crash is being investigated.
