War Memorial touring Australia

TRAVELLING through every state and territory of Australia, the Australian War Memorial, special exhibition "Framing Conflict" will soon be visiting Wondai for the very first time.

The Australian War Memorial comprises of a collection of paintings and photographs by Lyndell Brown and Charles Green, who toured the Middle East and Afghanistan in 2007 as the Memorial's Official war artists.

These highly evocative, innovative and contemporary works comprising of 30 small and three large paintings and 13 large format photographs are not to be missed.

The official opening of the special exhibition "Framing Conflict" will be held at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery on March 23 from 6pm.

Serving members of armed forces are encouraged to wear their medals with service wear.

Entry on the night is free; with finger foods and punch are supplied. Wine is available for purchase from local cellar door, Crane Wines.

This exhibition will remain in the gallery until and including Wednesday, April 25 from 10am till 4pm.
