Want the fun of the Ekka right here in Ipswich?

WANT all of the of the EKKA without the trip to Brisbane and the crowds? You are in luck this weekend.

The Ipswich Girls' and Junior Grammar School Parents & Friends Association will host the school's fete this Sunday, August 12, from 10am - 3pm at its Jacaranda St Sporting Fields. This is a community event, and everyone is welcome everyone to share in the fun.

There will be rides, entertainment, show bags, stalls and food and drinks.

Entry is free and unlimited ride passes are available on the day for $35.

All other stalls will be cash operated, with limited EFTPOS facilities and an ATM available for cash withdrawals on the day.

The rides on offer include the sizzler giant slide, giant chairs, cups and saucers, jumping castle, animal farm, sumo suits, bungee run and sticky wall.

Show bags will also be available, from Pokemon and Barbie, through to Bertie Beetle and fashion/beauty.

Other highlights include a bake stall, walking animal balloons, student performances and an 18+ bar for the parents.
