Known sex offender charged with rape

A MAN listed as a dangerous sex offender has been charged with raping a woman near Wacol Railway Station while living in the community on a supervised order.

The 37-year-old allegedly attacked a 31-year-old woman near the station on Saturday night.

He was on a 10-year dangerous prisoner supervision order for sexual offenders.

The man was taken into custody on Monday within a few hours of authorities issuing a warrant for his arrest for allegedly breaching his supervision order.
