Volunteers help course clean-up

Sandy Gallop Golf Club wasn't spared during the storm which ripped three massive trees down and scattered huge amounts of debris across the course.

Yet by the end of the day, the mess was cleaned up after volunteers responded immediately to owner Brett Lawton's call-out for help; 12 men arrived bright and early, ready to work.

"By lunchtime one of the guys had loaded his ute with debris 10 times already, all on his own," Mr Lawton said.

"It was the worst storm damage I have seen here in 10 years."
