Vodafone customers left without services after outage

THOUSANDS of Vodafone users across the country were left without coverage for several hours overnight, after outages across the network.

The outages were due to a "router issue".

News.com.au reported that customers took to social media to report problems accessing data, texts and calls with some commenting they were without services for close to three hours.

It was reported that users were unable to reach Vodaphone to report the problems.

A Vodafone spokeswoman said services were affected from about 6.30pm, with mobile services progressively restored from 10.45pm to 1.35am.

"At around 6.30pm yesterday, we experienced an issue which impacted part of our network, resulting in intermittent disruption to voice, text and data services," the spokeswoman said in a statement.

"We thank our customers for their patience and apologise for the inconvenience caused."

The statement revealed the disruption to 4G services was caused by a "router issue".

Vodafone shared updates with it's users during the outage.
