Vivica is on track for super stardom

MILEY Cyrus is Vivica Buttner's idol, and the life of the Ipswich 13-year-old is already resembling that of the Hannah Montana star.

On the hit show, Cyrus juggled being an everyday teenage girl and leading a secret double life as superstar Hannah Montana.

Vivica has developed a similar persona as a glamorous teen pop icon, and her full transformation will be unveiled at the launch of her debut album next month.

The ambitious teen, who has already achieved fame as an Australian Champion figure skater, recently turned her attention to singing.

"I've always loved music, I loved singing along to Les Miserables and other music that Mum and Dad played when I was little," Vivica said.

"Last year I decided to start taking it seriously, so I began taking lessons with Venetta Fields.

"A little while later I wanted to record a few songs for Mum's birthday so I went to a recording studio, and the people there invited me to come back and do an album," she said.

Vivica said she liked writing songs, and has co-written many of those on her self-titled album.

"What I write about depends on what's happening in my life," she said.

"My songs might be about liking a boy or stumbling on words, just things that happen to regular girls."

Her vocals are backed by a studio band, which Vivica said was exciting.

Vivica will launch her album at Studio 188, Brisbane St, Ipswich, on November 26.
