Mayor on Monday: Vision for a great city
THE City of Ipswich is more than just the CBD and is greater than the sum of its parts. Our vision of a city of centres including Rosewood, Brassall, Springfield, Goodna, Yamanto and in the future Ripley Valley, puts Ipswich in a strong position by providing residents and visitors with a diverse range of experiences. Each major suburban centre offers its own unique myriad of shopping and recreational attractions.
What a fantastic weekend at Queensland Raceway for the Coates Hire Ipswich 400. It is a highly anticipated sporting event, with not only the weekend of racing but all the events leading up to it. The Ipswich round of the V8 Supercar series brings thousands of visitors and millions of dollars to our economy.
Well done to the Happiness Cycle Team's Bicycle Network Program which was a huge success on Friday. BMX Champion and Olympic medallist Sam Willoughby was invited to come along to meet students and encourage cycling and fitness goals. A fantastic initiative.
