Valuable workshops to help volunteers
THE Queensland Government recognises the important role volunteers play in local sport and recreation clubs.
The state government is a partner with QFSR Skills Alliance offering a number of online training opportunities through the Department's Building Active Communities Workshops program.
All courses are self-paced and take 2-3 hours to complete.
Workshops available include:
Marketing and promotion;
Fundraising, grants and sponsorship;
Sports awards nominations extended
DUE to so many local teams making finals, Ipswich City Council has decided to extend the nominations for the Ipswich Sports Awards.
Nominations will now close at midnight on Sunday.
It's not too late to nominate your club's best achievers in a range of categories.
Prizemoney up to $2000 is being offered.
Champion effort Western Pride
SPORT Ipswich would like to congratulate the Western Pride men's football team on winning the NPL premiership on the weekend.
The players, staff, volunteers and supporters should all be applauded for working so hard to get the club to this position after only forming five years ago.
Sport Ipswich is proud to be working with such passionate people at the Western Pride and looks forward to continuing this relationship.
