V8s gear up to entertain

THE V8 Supercar action started heating up at Queensland Raceway, Willowbank, yesterday ahead of the weekend's high-octane racing.

The Coates Hire Ipswich 400 runs until tomorrow with a fantastic array of motor racing for fans of all ages.

With 400km of V8 Supercar racing, plus practice and qualifying, there's plenty to get excited about over coming days.

The Coates Hire Ipswich 400 is a weekend of fun and entertainment for the whole family, with the Disney Fun Zone providing the perfect playground for kids from 10am to 4pm today and tomorrow.

The little ones can keep busy with appearances from Mack the Transporter and Lightning McQueen among exciting activities.

Tomorrow features the True Colour Track Walk for fans. For the first time at the track, race-goers can walk on the tarmac and get up close and personal with the V8 Supercars on the grid.

The track will be open for 70 minutes from 9.45am.
