Urinating racegoers wee-ded out
PEOPLE who relieved themselves in public during and after the Ipswich Cup faced court last week.
Prosecutor Senior Constable Adam McDonald said Luan Petra Cummins, 36, was caught urinating at the race day in open view.
But she said in court that nobody had seen her.
Cummins was given a section 19 discharge and not further punished.
Police caught Michael Geoffery Fletcher, 31, urinating in public about 5pm and despite pleading guilty said he could not find a toilet at the racecourse.
“There were inadequate facilities in the arena so I stepped outside,” he said.
He was also given a discharge.
Jason Boyd Larrigan, 27, was also caught weeing, pleaded guilty and given a discharged and no conviction recorded.
Bruce Ramon Shipway, 46, left the races to urinate in what he called a “dark space”.
“I peed on a car tyre so I wouldn't pee my pants,” he told the court.
Shipway pleaded guilty and was convicted but not further punished.
