Two warrants turn up postie bike parts and drugs

TWO search warrants in Monto have been successful in seizing allegedly stolen goods and dangerous drugs.

On February 13, Monto police executed warrants to two properties in town.

Their first search warrant on Kelvin St resulted in police seizing one water pipe and allegedly stolen property.

Monto OIC Sergeant Mick Bazzo said the items were from an alleged burglary offence at the Monto Post Office.

"That occurred on January 15, where motorcycle parts of a postie bike were [allegedly] stolen," Sgt Bazzo said.

"The man has been charged with possession of suspected stolen property and possession of items used in the administration or consumption of dangerous drugs."

The 21-year-old man was released on bail and will appear in Biloela Magistrates Court on March 11.

Dalton St was the scene of another search warrant that day, where a 40-year-old man was charged with drug related offences.

Upon their arrival , police seized 24g of marijuana, one water pipe and a grinder from the residence.

The man was charged with possession of dangerous drugs and utensils and will appear in Biloela Magistrate's Court on March 11.

Sgt Bazzo has appreciated the community's efforts in apprehending these alleged offenders.

"We act upon tip offs from the general community and Crime Stoppers line.

"So we do urge people to continue to provide that information to us, which results in a safer, better community for all."
