A MOTORIST crashed her car into a guard rail in a two-vehicle crash in the Ipswich CBD on Thursday.

It was alleged that the 67-year-old driver crashed after she took evasive action to avoid hitting another vehicle which had changed lanes.

The accident took place about 8.50am on the corner of Limestone St and Waghorn St, outside the old Ipswich fire station.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene and the right-side of the road was blocked off until 9.30am.

All those involved in the crash escape injury.
