Two Lockyer Valley men charged with stabbing on train

TWO Lockyer Valley men have been charged in relation to an alleged stabbing of a man at a Brisbane rail station yesterday.

Police were called to the Graceville Train Station at 10.45am following reports of an altercation between a group of men on the train.

One of the men, a 24-year-old, sustained injuries to his abdomen and chest and was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A 29-year-old man from Rosewood was subsequently charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, wounding, going armed so as to cause fear, possess dangerous drug and possess drug untensil.

A 29-year-old man from Glenore Grove was similarly charged with one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, wounding and going armed so as to cause fear.

They are both due to appear in the Richlands Magistrates Court on January 7.
