Two hospitalised following crash

TWO people were hospitalised following a serious two-vehicle crash at Springfield this morning.

Police said the collision was reported on the Springfield-Greenbank Arterial Road, between Sinnathamby Boulevard and Grand Avenue, about 5.05am.

One person needed help to exit their vehicle and was treated for leg injuries.

Another person was treated for chest pain. Both were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Both vehicles were extensively damaged and required towing, leaving one lane closed for about one hour.
