Two in hospital after crash - at hospital

TWO people have been taken to Ipswich Hospital following a crash only a short distance away from the medical facility.

Police say a car crashed into a pole at the intersection of Nicholas St and Chelmsford Ave about 1.40pm.

Initial reports suggested one person was lying on the road after the crash.

Police say there was some information suggesting that the driver may have suffered a black out before the collision.

Energex and firefighters have been advised.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed two people have been taken to hospital in a stable condition.
