Crash into power pole cuts off Karrabin

POWER was cut to the Karrabin area early yesterday after a truck took down a power pole.

Police said a truck hit a pole on Redhill Rd about 1.30am, splitting it.

The impact brought lines down onto the truck and the road, blocking roads in the area for several hours.

Paramedics attended and assessed two people from the truck, with both of them declining transport to hospital.

Police were called to provide traffic control near the scene, with nearby Wulkuraka Connection Rd blocked near Keswick Rd.

Traffic controllers were called in about 9am yesterday morning, with a section of the road down to one lane.
