Truck rolls on Warrego Highway

A TRUCK driver escaped serious injury after his vehicle rolled onto an embankment on the Warrego Highway this morning.

The single-vehicle accident was reported on the east-bound lanes of the highway at Plainland - just east of the Plainland Hotel - about 6.35am.

A department of community safety spokesman said the driver was able to free himself from the cabin and wait for emergency services to arrive.

He did not require transport to hospital.

The vehicle was recovered and the road cleared within an hour.
