Truck driver stable after rollover at Cunningham's Gap

UPDATE 11AM: The driver of a b-double that crashed near Cunningham's Gap this morning has been taken to Warwick Hospital.

The truck rolled onto its side at on the Cunningham Highway at Tregony, about three-quarters of the way down the range crossing, at 8.15am.

The driver was assisted from the cabin by bystanders and later treated for leg, back and head injuries.

An ambulance spokeswoman says the driver is in a stable condition.

 

 

9AM: A truck driver has been injured in a crash near Cunningham's Gap.

Police are on their way to the rollover, which has been reported about three-quarters of the way down the gap crossing, on the Ipswich-bound lanes.

Police say onlookers are helping the driver out of the cabin and that he has sustained injuries.

The Cunningham Highway is partially blocked and police will conduct traffic control.
