Truck driver tries to tempt teens with speed on his penis

THREE girls' lives have been scarred after a man in a "moment of madness" dosed them up with speed and sexually assaulted them.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the victims' identities, was one of his victim's family friends when he breached that trust on Christmas Day in 2011.

The Supreme Court, where the 47-year-old was sentenced for rape and drug offences, heard the man knew one of the 14-year-old victims for six years and often looked after her and her siblings.

On December 25, 2011, the 14-year-old family friend and her two friends, 14 and 13, went to the man's house in Brisbane's bayside.

Justice Peter Applegarth said the man, a truck driver, showed the girls a tin with speed in it and made reference to his bikie gang links.

"I am prepared to assume that was a boast on your part..." he told the court on Thursday.

Justice Applegarth said the man gave the girls alcohol before putting speed on his penis and asking the girls to lick it off.

The girls said no but the man persisted.

"It was an invidious situation for the girls as to who would comply with your demands," Justice Applegarth said.

The judge told the man he violated each of these young people.

"Apart from the gross violation and indignity of requiring the girls of 13 and 14 to perform sex acts on you, you administered methamphetamine at the same time," he said.

The defence submitted the behaviour was out of character and committed in a moment of madness.

"To put it bluntly, it's a moment of madness that has had ramifications for the complainants and their families but also my client, his family and his children," the defence stated.

The man, a father of three, had been drinking at the time, the court heard.

Justice Applegarth sentenced the man to five years jail to be suspended after two years.
