Trip to dentist proves costly

A WOMAN caught driving while disqualified was taking her partner to the dentist.

Sharain Poole, 38, was pulled over on Limestone St, Ipswich at 12.30pm on September 26.

She told police she "didn't have her licence on her" before admitting she had been disqualified by a court order for six months in May.

Poole told police she knew she shouldn't be driving but was taking a friend to the dentist.

Defence lawyer Alexis Oxley told the court her client was taking her partner at the time to the dentist as he was running late.

Ms Oxley said Poole was no longer involved with that partner and she had lost her job when she was first disqualified.

Poole, a mother of three, was fined $750 and disqualified from driving for two years.
