Travel to football at no cost

TRANSLINK will give Ipswich football fans an early win this weekend with pre-purchased ticket-holders receiving free public transport to and from games.

Tonight fans will head to the Gold Coast Titans v St George Illawarra Dragons at Skilled Park, while the Brisbane Roar will play hosts to the A-League Grand Final at Suncorp Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

TransLink spokesperson Andrew Berkman said pre-paid ticket-holders could travel for free on trains and selected buses to and from the games.

“Pre-purchased ticket-holders can use their tickets on the day of the game to travel for free on Queensland Rail train services,” Mr Berkman said.

Fans travelling to the Roar game can also travel for free to the game on Brisbane Transport buses.

Free travel is also available on Surfside buses for customers heading to the Titans v Dragons clash.

Customers travelling to any of the weekend games are urged to plan ahead and check the website www.translink.com.au or call 13 12 30 for service times and updates.

Extra trains were also being organised this weekend for country music star Alan Jackson, who is playing at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
