UPDATE 5.30PM: Rail commuters have been hit with yet more delays following hour long hold ups this morning.

Translink advised about 5.20pm that trains on the Caboolture and Sunshine Coast lines were delayed up to 30 minutes for outbound services and up to 15 minutes for inbound services due to an ongoing signal fault at Strathpine.

It was the same signal fault that held up commuters this morning for up to 60 minutes in both directions.

It was the second day in a row Sunshine Coast rain commuters were delayed on the trip into Brisbane.
