Tragic loss of Gracemere teenager in accident

FRIENDS and family took to social media yesterday to share their condolences for Gracemere teenager Revel Ezzy, who was tragically killed in a car accident in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Around 4.30am police were called to Emu Park Rd after reports that a car had rolled and travelled down a steep embankment, coming to rest on Christopher Chapel Rd.

The 19-year-old driver of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Revel's Facebook page was flooded with messages of sadness and love yesterday.

Friends have described Revel as someone "who was always smiling", "a brilliant guy" and "a mate that will be missed".

Initial information suggests the driver of the vehicle, a Ford sedan, failed to negotiate a bend before rolling the car.

Police are continuing investigations.

Just 24 hours after this tragic accident occurred, a 37-year-old man crashed his car on the same road.

The man was transported to Rockhampton Hospital yesterday at 7am with significant injuries and is in a serious but stable condition at Rockhampton Hospital.
