Traffic controller struck by car

AN Ipswich Motorway road work traffic controller was taken to hospital after being struck by a police car at Riverview Thursday night.

Police said a female officer was reversing a service vehicle near road works about 8.45pm, when she struck the male worker.

The impact was said to have been low-speed and the worker suffered only minor injuries.

He was taken to hospital as a precaution.
