Toyota extends airbag recall to Yaris and Avensis Verso

TOYOTA Australia is extending the range of vehicles involved in the passenger side front airbag safety recall.

Previously the recall was announced on certain vehicles equipped with Takata airbag inflators but now also includes 
 Yaris and Avensis Verso vehicles built between April 2003 and December 2008. 

Toyota Australia is still assessing the number of vehicles impacted in the Australian market. 

There have been no confirmed incidents or injuries reported to Toyota Australia as a result of this condition.

Meanwhile, luxury sister company Lexus has recalled its SC430 vehicles built between May 2003 and December 2007 relating to the passenger side front airbag equipped with Takata airbag inflators.
