MELBOURNE based model Sarah Tilleke is out of Australian Survivor, but super proud how far she went, breaking stereotypes down in the process.

Tilleke said she was happy to break down the stereotype of just being the token model on a reality show.

"I hope I broke down that stereo type, of being the token model who is just there to be seen," she said.

"I think that's what a lot of people thought about me on the cast, when they found out what I do.

"But I hope I chance some people's perspectives."

Tilleke played a strong game, not afraid to switch sides or be part of some big moves on the second series of the Channel 10 reality show.

In the end though she was voted out easily, having a target on her back.

"I totally knew it was coming," she said.

"I saw the writing was on the wall, but that didn't stop me trying to make a last-ditch effort.

"I tried to convince people keeping me was in their best interest.

"I felt like I did everything I could, but in the end of the day, it wasn't enough."

In the end the fact that she kept former strong ally Michelle Dougan out of the decision making to blind side the last vote that saw Tessa O'Halloran go, was enough for Dougan to turn and vote her out.

It's the one regret she has out there - not keeping her in the loop alongside herself, Luke Toki and Jericho Malabonga, in the vote that saw O'Halloran go.

"It was definitely one of the biggest mistakes I made out there, by not telling Michelle," she said.

Despite the fact their friendship turned the last couple of days in Samoa, she and Dougan - and Toki and Malabonga, and still all close.

"We are as close as we were on the Island," she said.

"I've stayed at Michelle's house many times, we are the best of friends.

"It's a game at the end of the day, it's about lying, back stabbing and cheating.

"But it is just a game."

Tilleke, 22, said her Australian Survivor experience was only positive.

"I will never experience anything like that again," she said.

"I will always treasure my time out there in Samoa.

"It was absolutely a dream come true."

Australian Survivor airs on Channel 10 on Sunday, Monday and Tuesdays on 7.30pm.
