Toddler taken to hospital with snake bite

A TODDLER has been rushed to Ipswich Hospital following a suspected snake bite this afternoon.

Queensland Ambulance Service says the child has two puncture wounds as a result of a suspected bite at a residence in Mary St, Blackstone, about 2.15pm.

The snake was not seen and doctors are yet to confirm that the wounds were caused by a snake.

The patient is in a stable condition and will undergo tests this afternoon.
