Tip off leads Tara Police to large cannabis bust

TARA Police have seized approximately 70 cannabis plants from a Tara property after conducting a raid late yesterday afternoon.

Police executed a search warrant just prior to 6pm of a Golden Glow Road property outside Tara after they received information from Crimestoppers, a Queensland Police Service spokesperson said.

"Police located 70 cannabis plants that were spread across a 30 acre property," the spokesperson said.

A 58 year old Tara man was subsequently charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia and given notice to appear in Dalby Magistrates Court.

Tara Police posted news of the drug raid to their Facebook page the morning following the incident, along with photographs of the seized plants.
