Tiny voices make big impression

THE Ipswich Junior Eisteddfod shifted into the speech and drama section yesterday.

Brassall State School had three speech choirs participating in the day's events.

The first on stage was the prep class, in the prep to year three category.

They performed Christmas Secrets along with a second routine.

Prep teacher Paula Rohl said the students had rehearsed since the beginning of the year.

Ms Rohl admitted she was more nervous than her young pupils.

"They were very excited. It's the highlight of the year so far," she said.

"For many of them it is the first time on stage. They all did very well."
