A MAN who blew nearly three times the legal alcohol limit while unlicensed will be disqualified for 10 months.

Kevin Francis Reilly, 43, pleaded guilty in the Ipswich Magistrates Court yesterday to repeat unlicensed driving and driving under the influence of liquor or a drug.

Reilly, who had never held a licence, was intercepted by police on South Station Rd in Raceview on May 20.

He registered a 0.172 blood alcohol level. He told police he'd had a number of cans of beer and was driving to get more alcohol.

Reilly was fined $750 and disqualified for 10 months.
