Three face court for trafficking

THREE people allegedly involved in a Sunshine Coast interstate drug syndicate are expected to plead guilty in Brisbane Supreme Court today.

Adam Christopher Johnson and brothers Reece Leonard Walker and Todd David Walker are listed for sentence for trafficking charges arising from raids at Beerwah, Woombye and Brisbane in 2009.

Police intercepted telephone calls to bust the syndicate, which was allegedly behind a large scale operation trafficking ecstasy, speed and cannabis to people in the Northern Territory and New South Wales.

Sharon Tuddenham, who was living with her then boyfriend Johnson at Beerwah when they faced court on the Sunshine Coast, also has her drug trafficking case set down for review in the same court.

The drug haul allegedly included 200 ecstasy tablets, 400 grams of cannabis and a small quantity of methamphetamines estimated to be worth more than $200,000.

Expensive motorbikes, a car and almost $100,000 in cash were seized when police searched their homes.
