BE ONE of the first in Australia to experience playing in a unique TapeScape, a two-story, 20 metre square, creative play space for kids, young and old. Explore the tunnels and slides made entirely from 56,000 metres of packing tape designed and created by artist Eric Lennartson direct from the USA, and exclusive to the Ipswich Art Gallery.

But don't forget your socks, they must be worn on the TapeScape playground.

Innessa

RUSSIAN-born songstress Innessa is set to bring her blend of folk and world music to Studio 188 this weekend, presenting a diverse range of catchy melodies along with her beautiful vocals.

Innessa's musical adventure started with a passion for writing poetry as an eight-year-old, her poetry was filled with vivid observations of her surroundings at home in central Russia.

Within a year, she joined the local choir and began her lifelong passion for music and performing. After years of expanding her vocal talents she was introduced to the guitar and by the age of 16 had combined her poetry, signing and guitar skills and started performing her original compositions.

Innessa's Russian folk music roots are clearly influential in her fresh and unique style. With a broad, Innessa's true exotic heritage shines through in her diverse collection of songs. With dreamy emotional lyrics sung to a mixture of eclectic styles and undertones, Innessa is constantly leaving her audience spellbound.

Ulysses Club Toy Run

BE THERE to support the 20th annual Ulysses Toy Run, riding from Brassall Shopping Centre to the Ipswich Showgrounds greyhound pavilion. With full support from the QPS, Police Commissioner Ian Stewart will be on hand for the ride. All money raised from the ride will go to the Salvation Army and the Ulysses Club Arthritis Research Fund
