Thieves throw rocks through pub window to steal alcohol

A TRIO of thieves broke into a Springfield hotel and stole bottles of alcohol this morning.

Ipswich detectives are investigating an early morning break-in of a tavern at Springfield in which several bottles of alcohol were stolen.

Shortly before 3am three males threw rocks through the front windows and glass doors of the hotel on Springfield Parkway to gain entry to the tavern.

They stole alcohol from behind a bar before fleeing when staff members hearing the commotion attended the bar.

The trio fled in a white Pajero 4WD and all are described as Caucasian, approximately 175 to 178 cms tall, with proportionate or slim builds.

One was wearing a black hooded jumper, pants and white running shoes. Another was wearing khaki type shorts, blue or black hooded jumper. The third male was wearing a white hooded jumper, beige or grey shorts.

No one was injured and police investigations are continuing.
