Thief used emergency exit to make off with goods

A MAN has made off with stolen goods through a store's emergency exit yesterday.

Police say around 1:30pm, a man with stolen goods exited through a Shailer Park store's emergency exit.

19-year-old and 25-year-old female staff members have followed the man and confronted him as he attempted to ride away on a black motorised scooter. 

He's then dropped the merchandise and threatened the staff with a knife.

The man has then collected the goods again and fled on the scooter.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 20 years-of-age, 185cm tall, slim build and tanned complexion.

The man was wearing a black under armour compression top, light khaki shorts, black socks, black Nike shoes and a black cap.

The two female staff members were not injured.

Police are appealing for anyone with any information that may assist their investigation to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
