Thief leaves wallet and ID behind at scene of the crime

A THIEF who stole a four-litre bottle of rum from an East Ipswich liquor store left his wallet and ID behind at the scene of the crime.

The theft took place at the Thirsty Camel bottle shop about 5.15pm on Friday.

The attendant was unharmed.

Police were able to identify the thief via the identification in his wallet.
