The Block apartment asking prices revealed

ONLY snippets of the apartments being created on the latest season of The Block have been revealed on our screens.

But the luxury pads inside the transformed Gatwick Hotel have officially hit the market this week, with price guides ranging from $2.2 million through to $2.75 million.

Not only that, but buyers are already eyeing them off.

Check out the rooms that have been revealed on the Channel 9 show, and find out what the agents appointed to sell them think will make them popular under the hammer.

Already showcasing a sophisticated style, apartment No. 1 also has a "sense of space that is second to none," according to Hocking Stuart's Stephanie Evans. Boasting internal floor space of 257sq m, the luxe pad faces the city and has "a real homely vibe." "It is such a boutique building, there is nothing like it in the area - especially single-level apartments of this calibre," she said.

Despite being the biggest apartment of the series, this one has the smallest price tag.

The massive 270sq m flexible floorplan would be a big drawcard for buyers, in particular downsizers, Wilson agent Jesse Raeburn said.

The apartment's luxurious main bathroom with stylish Terrazzo floors took out top prize in the first room reveal for the season, and would "always been on trend", according to Mr Raeburn.

"The apartment is on the corner of Loch and Fitzroy Sts, so you get the real, vibrant St Kilda aspect," he said.

This apartment's huge 250sq m internal floorplan and northwest-facing orientation are expected to attract buyers, according to McGrath principal Michael Townsend.

"I haven't seen anything that's compared to this (in terms of size) on the market in St Kilda," he said. "It's also very up-market for St Kilda.

The styling is complimentary of the Art Deco architecture, but it has a really modern, luxurious feel."

Buyers are already eyeing this penthouse, which boasts the largest outdoor space on this season of The Block, Hocking Stuart director Sam Inan says.

Measuring at 88sq m, the terrace and apartment itself offer views over the treetops and rooftops of St Kilda. Mr Inan said the pad's 4m-high ceilings - exclusive to the building's two penthouses - made it feel even bigger than it was.

"You're immediately struck by the size. You rarely see a bathroom with 4m-high ceilings," he said.

"The penthouses will be competition among themselves. We're starting to get inquiry in the first week (of it being on the market)."

Downsizers from Melbourne's blue chip east and professionals couple from the bayside area looking to move closer to the city are expected to be the main buyer types.

The Agency selling agent Michael Paproth has boldly declared this apartment will be "the best in the building".

Being a penthouse gave the pad "an automatic leg up", while its soaring ceilings and former netballers Bianca and Carla's "design flair" also made it shine.

"It's got a New York loft-style to it. There are going to be a heap of surprises when everything is revealed," he said.
