
Teens who saved mum and kids may get bravery awards
THREE teenage girls, who helped save a pregnant woman and her children from a burning home in Sydney overnight, are expected to be nominated for bravery awards.
Tiarnna Bevege, her step sister Brittany and friend Jessica were walking down a Mt Druitt street late Tuesday when they saw flames coming from a unit.
Police were told two of the girls a heavily pregnant woman and helped her and her three children young children to safety while the third girl dialled 000.
A woman found in the backyard of the home was taken to Blacktown Hospital for assessment but the mother and her children were unharmed.
A NSW Police spokesperson said the girls had shown great courage and it was anticipated they would be nominated for a police award in recognition of their bravery.
